FAQ

Common questions

I can read the Quran already. Do I still need Tajweed?

Most readers find small mistakes in letter sounds and lengthening. A few weeks of Tajweed makes your recitation more correct.

How long does a course take?

Most students learn the main rules in 3 to 6 months with two or three classes a week.

Are classes one-to-one?

Yes, by default. Small family groups are possible on request.

Scholar review. This guide is general guidance, written to be accepted by the major schools, with differences noted where they matter. It is being reviewed by Sukon’s Scholar panel. For a question about your own situation, ask a verified scholar — always free.
