What makes food halal?
Allah says: “O people, eat of what is lawful and good on the earth” (Quran 2:168). Meat must come from a permitted animal slaughtered in the name of Allah, and food must be free of pork, alcohol and blood (Quran 5:3).
Questions to ask
Who supplies your meat? Do you have a halal certificate? Is alcohol served or used in cooking? Are utensils shared with non-halal food?
