Questions
How should we choose a name?
Choose a name with a good meaning. The Prophet ﷺ said the names most beloved to Allah are Abdullah and Abdur-Rahman (Sahih Muslim 2132), and he changed names with bad meanings. Names of prophets, Companions and righteous people are also excellent choices.
When should the baby be named?
The baby can be named on the day of birth or on the seventh day, when the Aqiqah is done and the head is shaved (Sunan Abi Dawud 2838; Sahih al-Bukhari 5467).
Can we make a card with a name that is not on this list?
Yes. Open the welcome card maker and type any name you have chosen — you can add its Arabic spelling and meaning yourself.
